Homosexuality is the wedge issue of our time and the civil rights challenge of this generation. At the heart of the controversy is Christianity. Many are taught that homosexuality strikes at the very core of what it means to be a Christian. Sadly, these powerful beliefs are based on half-truths and falsehoods.
Most conservative Christians are good people who strive to be compassionate and tolerant. By learning how to talk with them in ways that both educate them about homosexuality and respect their faith, we can create a space where profound healing can occur.
Hearts and Minds offers facts and inspiration for members of the gay community and their friends, family and supporters to help them engage in meaningful, heart-felt discussions with conservative Christians.

Did Jesus really think homosexuality was a sin? Hearts and Minds: Talking with Christians about Homosexuality will show people on both sides of this argument what the bible really says. Darren Main does a great job looking for the truth in the verses commonly used against gays and lesbians and shows us how to engage others so the truth comes out in a calm and understanding manner.

This book is a must-read for queer, questioning, and non-queer folks alike. It is well-researched, well-written and very readable. So often, we are prone to say or think, "This is what the Bible says," or "This is what the Bible means," instead of saying, "This is how the Bible reads." If we are not fully aware of the meaning of the passage as it applied to the people to whom it was written, we are likely to misinterpret it. READ this book and pass it on.
